Designing a HUD for Sphera was really interesting! We have this futuristic sci-fi theme and vibrant blues to incorporate, and the Sphera mechanic which involved creating a system where the player can easily throw the Sphera after charging it. I created the assets externally in Adobe illustrator which allowed for more creative freedom. It was the first time I have done this and helped me conceptualise the HUD before adding it to the game.
